Lahore Master Plan declared 33,000 acres of housing projects as green space
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) reports that the Lahore Master Plan-2050 now includes 33,000 acres of undeveloped brown areas land as green space that has been approved or assigned for housing societies. According to LDA Director General Aamir Ahmad Khan LDA has removed 27,000 acres from the undeveloped brown areas on the north side of Lahore (Kala Shah Kaku and Muridke sides in Sheikhupura district) and designated them as green ones for agricultural purposes. The Bambawali-Ravi-Bedian Canal’s brown, further 6,000 acres have also been purchased and donated for green areas or national strategic plans.
